Justice, a sweet word in the mouth and melodious in the ear. How many we meet people who want to enforce it. Some are struggling through legal channels by establishing various legal aid agencies. Some are struggling through political channels by establishing parties. Others struggle through mass movements by speaking and dismantling the ulcers of a group of perceived evil. Others are struggling through the mass media by publishing leaflets and newspapers about it. Everyone wants to achieve a goodness, that is justice. But it is unfortunate. How many people want goodness but do not get it.

If we honestly ask ourselves, how far do we understand the nature of justice and to whom justice we should apply. Then maybe the picture of justice is still vague and confused in our minds. There are cases that we consider unusual and trivial but it turns out that includes a very big injustice. On the contrary, it could be something that we consider to be a very high value of justice but there is still another justice that is higher and more entitled to be defended. That is why we want to invite the righteous readers to look again at the problem before us with the eyes of the Qur'an and Sunnah through Salafush Salih's method of understanding.

God Commands Us to Do Fair
In the Qur'an Allah states:


يا أيها الذين آمنوا كونوا قوامين لله شهداء بالقسط ولا يجرمنكم شنآن قوم على الله

"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do." 


When commenting on the verse "O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah" Sheikh Abu Bakr Al Jazaa'iri hafizhahullah says, 
"It means (Allah commands) to uphold justice in the matter of law and testimony ... " ( Nidaa'atur Rahman , p. 86) 

Shaykh Abdurrahman bin Nasir As Sa'di rahimahullah said, " ... Whenever you are eager to uphold justice and earnest to apply it will make you closer to the piety (taqwa) of the heart. If justice is applied perfectly then piety becomes perfect. " 
( Taisir Karimir Rahman , p.224 )

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih Al 'Utsaimin rahimahullah explained about the nature of justice. He explained that the meaning of justice is to fulfill the right to every owner. Or it could be interpreted by putting each owner in the proper place (see Huquuq Da'at Ilaihal Fithrah wa Qararat Haa Asy Shari'ah , p.9 ) Thus the essence of understanding of justice is the about rights and position. Everything has rights and position. Until unbelievers who do not fight against the Muslims have the right to security in Islam. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, 

"Whoever kills the unbelievers mu'ahad then will not be able to smell of heaven." 
(Narrated by Bukhari)

Know Justice with the Opponent

The opposite of justice is unjust (tyranny or Zalim). Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih Al 'Utsaimin rahimahullah explained that tyranny there are three kinds:


  1. The most oppressive tyranny, which is shirk to God. Although the person who does shirk is not said to oppose God, even his own self is wronged. Because he has humiliated himself to something that is not worthy of worship.
  2. One's tyranny towards himself. That is, he does not fulfill his own right. Like for example fasting without breaking, night prayer continues and will not sleep.
  3. One's tyranny to others. Like for example when he violated the rights of others by hitting him, killing him, taking his property, and so forth. (see Al Qaul Al Mufid , I / 35, Ad Daa 'wad Dawaa' p. 145)

So that we can conclude, if someone wants to do justice perfectly then he must Tawhid correctly, leaving injustice against yourself and to fellow servants. With these three things, ultimate justice will be upright. It is strange if there are people who oppress the animals called people who do wrong, then to people who do shirk just be left free for human rights reasons ?! Shirk is called an act of wrongdoing because with it a servant has directed worship to something that is not entitled to get worship. Yet no one is entitled to be worshiped except Allah. 
The Prophet said, 


"The right of God to be fulfilled by the servant is that they worship Him and not associate anything with Him." 
(Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim) 

Therefore Luqman advises his son not to do shirk, because shirk is a tyranny. As Allah says ta'ala which means, 



وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُ يَا بُنَيَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ

"And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah . Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice."


As tyranny is stratified, justice is so. Allah ta'ala says which means, 


لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنْزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ

"We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might."

Al-Imam Ibnul Qayyim rahimahullah said, "Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala proclaims that He sent His Apostles, lowered His books so that man upholds al qisth that is justice. One of the greatest forms of justice is monotheism (Tauhid). He is the greatest principal of justice and the pillars of his enforcers. While shirk is a tremendous tyranny. So that shirk is the most oppressive injustice, while tawhid is the fairest justice ... " ( Ad Daa 'wad Dawaa', p.144 )

Closer Recognition of Shirk
As has been stated in advance that shirk including tyranny. In fact he belongs to the greatest injustice because it involves the right of Allah ta'ala, the creator, and ruler of the universe. So we should peel this deeper. Reader, may Allah give taufik to us. The scholars have defined shirk as an act of likening something other than God to God in matters of God's particularity.

God's specificity includes three things:

His Rububiyah is like creating, animating, lethal, giving sustenance, organizing the universe, mastering it, granting prayers and so on.

His Uluhiyah such as being a place to ask for help, a goal of worship, being the only seal of shari'ah and so on.

Asma 'wa shifat Him like having the name of Allah, Ar Rahman and Ar Rabb. Or bear the nature of knowing the unseen, and such.

Thus shirk is divided into three: shirk in terms of rububiyah, shirk in terms of uluhiyah and syirik in terms of asthma 'wa shifat. A simple example that can illustrate the occurrence of these three kinds of shirk at once is if there is someone who prayed for help to a dead guardian. In the act incorporated three kinds of shirk at once, let us prove!

First, a person who prays to the Grave or tree or sun means he believes the Grave or tree or sun can grant his request. This means that he has fallen into the rurubiyah shirk.

Secondly, a person who prays to the Grave or tree or sun means he has shown a form of worship to other than God, that is prayer. Whereas the Prophet said, "Prayer is worship" (HR.Tirmidhi) This means he has fallen in shirk uluhiyah or shirk of worship.

Thirdly, a person who prays to the Grave or tree or sun means he believes that the guardian can hear his prayer while the guardian is dead. This plunges itself into shirk in the attributes of Allah ta'ala, which is All-hear. He likens the ability to hear the guardian with the ability to hear Allah ta'ala. Glorious God of what they do. Well, whether these actions ever imagine in our mind if that includes injustice? Or even vice versa, anyone thinks that part of the tradition of the descendants deserve to be a tourism asset?!

Eradicate injustice with tyranny
Strange but True. Some people are acting on behalf of themselves as justice fighters. They want to defend the rights of the oppressed and oppressed people. But on the other hand the way they travel is also unjust. Perhaps it is also true that people who call their actions are like Robin Hood's 'good thief'. Where are there good thieves? They invite people to join in an unjust system.

They want the people to support this system, whereby the voice of a cleric is aligned with the voice of a big-time gambler. With which the voice of a Gentile is worth the voice of a Muslim. Whereas Allah ta'ala firmly declares, 



أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَانِتٌ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ سَاجِدًا وَقَائِمًا يَحْذَرُ الْآخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُو رَحْمَةَ رَبِّهِ ۗ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ

Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding. (i.e. get a lesson from Allah's Signs and Verses).

Allah also said, 

أَفَنَجْعَلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ كَالْمُجْرِمِينَ
Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals? 
(QS Al-Qalam: 35

Allah also says, 



أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ

"Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked?" 


How wicked they are. Not to mention the other injustices that arise when there is legal decision-making in the hands of the people, power in the hands of the people. Whereas Allah says, 


وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنْفَ بِالْأَنْفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ ۚ فَمَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَهُ ۚ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the wrongdoers." 

It is as if the voice of the people is everything. Who's most of his voice won in a power struggle. Then what is the difference of this system with the law of the jungle. There, the great beast and his powerful body overcame a small and weak animal. And here, the sound that overwhelms the slightest sound, what do you think is the difference between democracy and the law of the jungle ?! So it is worth it if the lion gets the position of the king of the jungle, because the lion is the strongest, the most vicious and the most frightening of his voice, and certainly the cruelest to kill his prey !! 

so, if the drunk man and adultery people win the voice, then the country became a drunk and adultery country?

O the advocates of justice and prosperity, where is the justice you stand for? Whose rights are you guilty of? With this system you have aligned Muslims glorified by Allah and His Messenger with unbelievers who are humiliated by Allah and His Messenger. Is there a more ugly insult than this contempt?


So, Win the Voice my brothers and sisters. 
Do your Daawah and save your homeland.


Tauhid Awwalan Ya Du'aatal Islaam
It is not excessive if the scholars always admonish to the ustad to promote the dawah tauhid in taking improvement in the body of the ummah. Because with tauhid the hearts of man and woman will depend solely on his Lord. So whatever the law was given by Allah immediately they are graciously accepted and open arms. Because with tauhid believer women will be re-wear the hijab and dress her shame. So that pornography will be uprooted and become garbage removed by the youth. Because with the tauhid the hearts of the parents will again awaken the importance of faith education to his son and daughter, so that colleges and schools will be rampant with students and collages who cautious. And with that tawhid will uphold the highest justice in the universe, and then bad injustice (shirk) that contaminates the history of human civilization will collapse.

Tawheed, this is the spirit of dakwah and the struggle of the Prophets and Apostles' alaihimush shalatu was salaam, let us not sincerely. Allah ta'ala said, 



وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ 
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ ۚ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ

"And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut." And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers. "

While Taghut is anything that is worshiped besides Allah, either by obeying, worshiped or followed. Then what about the democratic system. Man obey him and also follow it, until some of them also fall into the Shirk in terms of obedience to other than Allah ta'ala. To obey the system of human creation that is contrary to the justice of Allah ta'ala.

Democracy is not the right way to establish an Islamic state. How to be made temporary Islamic when implementing this system has been from the beginning Islam is aligned with the religions of disbelief. Then when will an Islamic state be yours to cultivate? It is only in the fantasy. but we can still fight for it.


So, Win the Voice my brothers and sisters. 


Brother and sister, love your time, love your energy, love your wealth and your strength. Spread the monotheism (Tawheed)  in the midst of the people, turn on the Sunnah that has been abandoned by society. Undoubtedly success will be achieved. The unity of the people will be intertwined. And the bond of ukhuwah will no longer need to be undermined by the fetters of parties and sects.  Allah has promised you, 



"يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ

"O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet."
