Tawakkul Is

Tawakkul
Tawakkul is the sincerity of heart in relying on Allah Ta'ala to gain the benefit and prevent danger, both concerning world affairs and hereafter. Allah Ta'ala says which means,
"And when they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or part with them according to acceptable terms. And bring to witness two just men from among you and establish the testimony for [the acceptance of] Allah . That is instructed to whoever should believe in Allah and the Last day. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out
And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent."

The Meaning of Trust to God

Many of the scholars who have explained the meaning of Tawakkul, among them are Al Allamah Al Munawi. He said, "Tawakkul is showing the weakness and the penance (the self) to the inTakakali."
Faidhul Qadir , 5/311).
Ibn 'Abbas radhiyAllahu'anhuma said that Tawakkul means to believe fully to Allah Ta'ala.
Imam Ahmad said, "Tawakkul means deciding search with despair towards creatures."
Al Hasan Al Bashri was once asked about Tawakkul, so he replied, "Ridho to Allah Ta'ala" ,

Ibn Rojab Al Hanbali said, "Tawakkul is be based / tie up the heart in truth to Allah Ta'ala in obtaining mercy and denying harm, both worldly and hereafter as a whole. "
Al Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al Asqolani said, " Tawakkul is turning away from various causes after the cause is prepared. "

Getting Good and Avoiding Damage

Ibn al-Qayyim said,

"Tawakkul is the most important factor that can defend a person when not have the power of attack other oppressive and hostile creatures. Tawakkul is the most powerful means of dealing with such circumstances, for he has made God his protector or who has given him sufficient. So whoever makes Allah his protector and who gives him sufficient, his enemy will not be able to bring harm to him. "
Bada'i Al-Fawa'id 2/268)

The best evidence is the real event, Imam Al Bukhori has recorded in his book Shohih, from the Companions of Ibn Abbas rodhiyAllahu anhuma , that when Prophet Ibrahim was thrown into the midst of the burning fire he said,

"HasbunAllahu wa ni'mal wakiil." ( Suffice God to be our helper and God is the best protector).

This is the word which is revealed by the Prophet ShollAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam when it is said to him, Verily the polytheists have planned to fight you, so beware of them. "
(Narrated by Al-Bukhari in the Tafsir chapter See Fathul Bari VIII / 77 )
Ibn 'Abbas said, "The last words spoken by Prophet Ibrahim when he was thrown into the fiery embers were:' Sufficient God be our helper and Allah is the best protector '."
(Narrated by Bukhari)

Trusting God is key Rizki (sustenance)

The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

If indeed you put your trust in Allah in truth, you will be given rizki like the birds. They leave early in the morning in a state of hunger, and come home in the afternoon full. "
(Narrated by Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Al-Hakim)

In this noble hadith Rosululloh explains that the man who put his trust in Allah in truth, surely he will be given rizki. How not, for he has put his trust in the Essence of the Living One who never dies. Abu Hatim Ar Razy said, "This hadith is a milestone tawakkul. Tawakkul to Allah is the biggest factor in finding riqzi. " Therefore, whoever put his trust in Him, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will suffice. Allah says which means,

"And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent."

Ar Rabi 'bin Khutsaim said of the verse, "That is sufficient from everything that makes a narrow man."

Tawakkul Does Not Mean Not Trying

Achieving Tawakkul does not mean negating the effort. God commands His servants to try and simultaneously hold. Seeking with all members of the body and putting up with the heart is a manifestation of faith in God Almighty.
Some people may say, "If the man who put his trust in Allah will be given rizki, then why should we tired, try and make a living. Do not we just sit around and laze, then our rizki comes from the sky? " That statement really shows the person's folly about the nature of Tawakkul. Our glorious prophet has forgotten the man who put up with it and rizki it with a bird that goes in the morning to seek rizki and go home in the afternoon, whereas the bird does not have any rest, either trade, agriculture, factory or certain work. He came out armed tawakkul to Allah Almighty as a place to depend.
The 'ulama-hopefully Allah rewards them with the best of good-has warned this problem.Among them is Imam Ahmad, he said:

"In the hadith there is no cue that allows to leave the business, instead in it there are cues that indicate the need to seek rizki. So the intent of the hadith is that if they had put their trust in God in their travel, their coming and their efforts, and they knew that the goodness (rizki) was in His Hand, they would not have gone home unless they had secured the good, as the birds did. "
Tuhfatul Ahwadzi , 7/8)
Imam Ahmad was once asked about a man who only sat at home or in the mosque saying,

"I do not want to work a bit, until my rizk comes alone" . So he commented, "He is a man who knows no knowledge. Indeed the Prophet ShollAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam has said,' Verily Allah has made my rizk in the shadow of my spear of peruri (read: ghonimah ) '. And he also said, 'If you put your trust in Allah in truth, Allah will give you rizki as He gave the birds. They leave early in the morning in a state of hunger and come home in the afternoon full. '
(Hasan Shohih, HR.Tirmidhi).

Next Imam Ahmad said, "The Companions (Shahabah) also trade and work by managing their dates tree. And they are our example. "
Fathul Bari , 11 / 305-306)
If we want to contemplate then we can say that the influence of tawakkul is visible in the motion and effort of a person while working to achieve his goals.
Imam Abul Qasim Al-Qusyairi said, "Behold the truth is that it is in the heart. The outward motion then it does not contradict the tawakkul that is in the heart after a person believes that rizki it comes from God. If there are difficulties, then it is because of His destiny. And if there is convenience then it is because of the ease of Him. "Murqatul Mafatih , 5/157)
Among those that show that tawakkul to Allah does not mean abandonment is a hadith. Somebody said to the Prophet ShollAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam , "I release my camel and (then) I put my trust in it." The Prophet said, "Tie and then put your trust in Allah."
(Narrated by Tirmidhi and acclaimed Al Albani in Shohih Jami'ush Shoghir ).

In the history of Imam Al-Qudha'i mentioned that Amr bin Umayah RadhiyAllahu 'anhu said, "I asked, 'O Rosululloh !! Did I tie my camel first then I tawakkul to God, or did I just let go and then I tawakkul?", He replied," Tie your camel and put your trust in Allah. "
Musnad Asy-Syihab , Qayyidha wa Tawakkul , no. 633, 1 / 368)
Tawakkul does not mean leaving the business. Every Muslim should be earnest and try to earn a living. It's just that he should not rely on fatigue, hard work and effort, but he must believe that all matters belong to God, and that rizki is only from Him alone.
