Lightweight on Oral Heavy in Scales
Before we start, can someone leave a comment in the comment section bellow?? I feel like no one read my blog T,T
From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu the Messenger of Allaah sallallahu' alaihi wa sallam said,
"There are two sentences which are light in oral but heavy on the scales, and both are loved by ar-Rahman, namely 'Subhanallahi wabihamdihi, subhanallahil' azhim '."
(HR Bukhari [7573] and Muslim [2694])
Shaykh al-Uthaimin rahimahullah explained,
"These two sentences are the cause of God's love for a servant."
He also advised,
"O servant of God, often say these two sentences. Say it both continuously, because these two sentences are heavy on the scales (charity) and are loved by ar-Rahman, while they are not at all detrimental to you at all while both are very lightly spoken by oral, 'Subhanallahi wabihamdih, subhanallahil' azhim ' . So it should be every man to say the dhikr and reproduce it. "
( Syarh Riyadh as-Shalihin , 3/446).
In this hadith the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam mentions Allah by his name ar-Rahman -The Most Gracious-. The wisdom is - wallahu a'lam - because to show the breadth of Allah ta'ala affection. For example, in this hadith it is reported that God is pleased to reward the many rewards even though the deeds are done only slightly (see Taudhih al-Ahkam , 4/883)
Subhanallahi Wabihamdih
The meaning of the utterance of subhanallah - Allah is Most holy (free of any errors/defects)-is; you sanctify Allah ta'ala from all shame and deprivation and you declare that Allah is perfect from all sides. It is accompanied by praise to Allah - wabihamdih - showing the perfection of the gift and kindness He bestows upon the creatures and the consummation of His wisdom and knowledge (see Syarh Riyadh as-Shalihin li Ibni Utsaimin , 3/446)
When it has been imprinted in a servant concerning the confession and belief in the holiness of God of all flaws and disgrace, it will automatically be inscribed also in his soul that God is the owner of the various perfection so as to rest assured that God is the Rabb for all His creatures . While the oneness of Allah in terms of rububiyah is a hujjah / argument that obliges humans to tawhid in matters of worship-tawhid uluhiyah-. Thus this phrase contains the determination of the two kinds of monotheism -rububiyah and uluhiyah- (see Taudhih al-Ahkam , 4/885)
The meaning of praise to God
Al-Hamdu or praise is a flattery to God because of His perfect attributes, His abundant blessings, His generosity to His servant, and the beauty of His wisdom. Allah ta'ala has a perfect name, nature and deed. All the names of Allah are the most beautiful and glorious names, there is no disgraceful in godly name. Similarly, in terms of His attributes there is no disgraceful, even His attributes are perfect in all sides. God's deeds are also always praised, because His actions range from upholding justice and giving virtue. So however God's condition is always praised
(see al-Qawa'id al-Fiqhiyah by Shaykh as-Sa'di, p.7 )
Shaykh al-Uthaimin rahimahullah said, " al-hamdu is to honor something which is praised with perfect qualities accompanied by love and glorification-from praising-, perfection in terms of dhat, nature, and deeds. So God is perfect in His deeds, attributes, and deeds. "( Tafsir Juz 'Amma , p.10 )
Subhanallahil 'Azhim
The meaning of this utterance is that nothing is greater and more powerful than the power of Allah ta'ala and no one is superior to Him, nothing is deeper in His knowledge than Him. So Allah ta'ala is exalted with His power and attributes.(see Syarh Riyadh as-Shalihin li Ibni Utsaimin , 3/446).
It shows the majesty, glory, and power of Allah ta'ala , these are the qualities that are possessed by Him. In this recitation the dhikr incorporates praise and glorification containing the feelings of hope and fear of Allah ta'ala (see Taudhih al-Ahkam , 4 / 884-885).
