This answer does not invite you to take the most economical steps in Qurban or sacrificing. Once Again, This information does not invite you to take the most economical steps in sacrificing But as a solution for those who want to Qurban, while funds are limited.
In maliyah worship (worship which takes the form of issuing property), the greater the sacrifice, the greater the reward value.
Qurban includes worship which is the shari'a of Islam. Allah says,
والبدن جعلناها لكم من شعائر الله لكم فيها خير
And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah ; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.
And the more maximal in realizing the spread of the religion of Allah, the closer to taqwa. Allah says,
ومن يعظم شعائر الله فإنها من تقوى القلوب
That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.
Ibn Abbas said, "honors the symbols of Allah (in sacrifice) is to look for the fattest and the best."
(Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 5/421)
So, the greater the struggle we make in sacrificing (Qurban), the more perfect our sacrifice (Qurban) deed is.
The philosophy behind udhiyyah is that it is a demonstration of submission to Allah, complete obedience to Allah's will or command and sacrificing everything for his pleasure.

Minimalist Sacrifice
What is the cheapest price for qurban, but it meets the legal standards of sharia? Perhaps it can be used as a solution for those who want to do qurban on a limited budget.
There are several criteria for qurban animals, which are generally cheaper,
First, sacrifice female goats
From Umu Kurzin radliallahu 'anha, the Messenger of Allaah' alaihi wa sallam said,
عن الغلام شاتان وعن الجارية شاة لا يضركم ذكرانا كن أو إناثا
"Aqiqah for Son are two goats and one goat's daughter. It doesn't matter whether male or female. "
(HR Ahmad 27900 and Nasa'i 4218 and al-Albani's transfer).
Based on this hadith, as-Syairazi as-Shafi'i said,
وإذا جاز ذلك في العقيقة بالخبر دل على جوازه في الأضحية
"If it is permissible to use female animals for Aqiqah based on this hadith, it indicates that this is also permissible for qurban."
(Al-Muhadzab, 1/74).
Second, 6-month-old sheep
Sacrifice or Qurban with sheep, may be at the age of jadza'ah in the opinion of jumhur ulama.
How old is jadza'ah for sheep?
Linguists differ in understanding the age limit of jadza'ah.
[1] Jadza'ah age sheep are 1-year-old sheep. This is the opinion of the majority of linguists. And this is Malikiyah's opinion, and the opinion is more valid according to Syafiiyah, and the one is chosen by Ibn Hazm. (al-Muhalla, 7/361)
[2] Jadza'ah age sheep are sheep that have reached 6 months and going for 7 months.
This is the opinion of Hanafiyah (Bada'i as-Shana'i, 6/299),
Hambali (al-Inshaf, 9/337),
and one of the opinions in the Madzhab Syafiiyah. (Raudhah at-Thalibin, p. 433).

Then you can estimate the price,
[1] Sheep - generally cheaper than common goats
[2] Females - generally cheaper than males
[3] Even 6 months of age - cheaper than the age of one year
For those of you who want to Qurban (sacrifice) while the funds are limited, can use animals with the above Qurban criteria. But for those who can be better, they should choose better ones ...
