Number of books that Allah Drops

Is it true that the number of books that Allah sent down hundreds of them? Then where is the book?

Answer:

Bismillah was shalatu was salam' ala Rasulillah, wa ba'du,

The obligation for every Muslim is to believe globally all the books that Allah sent to His prophets and messengers.

Allah teaches this principle in the Koran/Qur'an,

آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِه

"The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination."

(Surah al-Baqarah: 285)

Allah also said,

وَقُلْ آمَنْتُ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنْ كِتَاب

"So to that [religion of Allah ] invite, [O Muhammad], and remain on a right course as you are commanded and do not follow their inclinations but say, "I have believed in what Allah has revealed of the Qur'an, and I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds, and for you your deeds. There is no [need for] argument between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is the [final] destination." "

(Surat as-Shura: 15)

What is meant by believing globally is that we believe in the existence of the books that Allah has sent down to His messengers and believe in the truth of the news and teachings that are in it.

While believing in the heavenly books in more detail, such as the Koran/Qur'an, the law, the gospel, or the verses which were revealed to some prophets. As Allah said,

نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقاً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَنْزَلَ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْأِنْجِيلَ

"He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel. "

(QS. Ali Imran: 3)

Allah also said, telling the verses of Abraham and Moses,

إِنَّ هَذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَى * صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى

Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, The scriptures of Abraham (Ibraheem) and Moses (Musa).

(Surah al-A'la: 18-19)

While regarding the number, whether up to hundreds of books and whatever the name suggests, as long as we do not have a valid argument about it, the right attitude is left to the knowledge of Allah.

There is a hadith from Abu Dhariniyahu ' anhu, that he once asked the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam,

"How many books have Allah sent down?"

Answer the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam ,

مِائَةُ كِتَابٍ وَأَرْبَعَةُ كُتُبٍ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى شِيثٍ خَمْسُونَ صَحِيفَةً وَأُنْزِلَ عَلَى أَخْنُوخَ ثَلَاثُونَ صَحِيفَةً وَأُنْزِلَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَشَرُ صَحَائِفَ وَأُنْزِلَ عَلَى مُوسَى قَبْلَ التَّوْرَاةِ عَشَرُ صَحَائِفَ وَأُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةُ والإنجيل والزبور والقرآن

There are 104 books. What was revealed to Prophet Syits 50 Suhuf, was revealed to Prophet Ukhnukh (Idris) 30 Suhuf, who was sent down to Prophet Ibrahim 10 Suhuf, who was sent down to Prophet Musa before the Taurat (Torah) 10 Suhuf. Allah also sent down the Torah, the Injeel, and the Qur'an.

(Narrated by Ibn Hibban 361, Abu Nua'im in Hilyah al-Auliya, 1/167)

Hadith Status

This Hadith is very long, the contents of which are question and answer between Abu Dhariniyahu 'anhu with the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam in the matter of prophethood and the books of the past. But this hadith is false, in sanad there is a liar narrator. Al-Haitsami commented on this hadith,

في سنده إبراهيم بن هشام بن يحيى الغساني ، قال أبو حاتم وغيره: كذاب

In his sanad, there was Ibrahim bin Hisyam al-Ghassani. Abu Hatim and others said, 'He is a liar.'

Because the status of the hadith is false, it cannot be used as a proposition.
