13 Time and Place to Salawat

13 Time and Place to Salawat

Time and Place of Salawat
Question:

Assalamu'alaykum, please be clear about the time when the salawat was done.

thank you.

Answer :
wa alaykum sallam
Bismillah,

In general, the salawat for the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam is two,

First, absolute salawat

That is the prayer (salawat) done at every opportunity, without a certain time and certain places. We are encouraged to read salawat to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam . As God says,

"Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace."

The more shalawat that we recite, the greater the chance to gain privilege on the side of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam . In a hadith, he said,

"The one who is closest to me on the Day of Judgment is the one who has the the most (much) salawat for me."
(Narrated At-Tirmidhi, and assigned Al-Albani)

Second, shalawat muqayad

That is the salawat that is done on special occasions, either done at a certain time or when doing certain deeds. There are about 15 circumstances, where we are encouraged to read shalawat:

When tashahhud start or end

Salawat at the beginning tasyahud the law is recommended, while when tasyahud end of the law is Fard (mandatory). From Ka'ab bin Ujrah, that the Companions once asked the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam about the procedure salawat when praying salat. He replied, 'Say:

"Ya Allah, (i ask you to) do salawat to Muhammad and his family as you have salawat to Ibraheem and his family, verily You are Most Praiseworthy Most Wide, ya Allah, bless Muhammad and his family as You have blessed Ibraheem and his family, verily You are most praiseworthy Most Wide."
(Muttafaqun 'alaihi)

When finished adzan

From Abdullah bin Amr ibn radhiyallahu 'anhuma , the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

"When you hear the muezzin, answer the adzan call. then recite salawat for me. Because the person who recite the salawat for me once then Allah will give a salawat for him 10 times. "
(Muslim)

On Friday

Since the evening of Friday, until the end of Friday afternoon, we are encouraged/recommended to recite salawat more.

From Aus bin Aus, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

"The most glorious day is Friday. On this day, Adam was created ... therefore, multiply read salawat for me. Because your salawat is shown to me. "
(Narrated by Abu Daud, Ibn Majah, and al-Albani)

Every morning and afternoon

Every morning and afternoon, we are recommended to read salawat at least 10 times.

From Abu Darda ' radliallahu' anhu , the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

من صلى على حين يصبح عشرا و حين يمسي عشرا, أدركته شفاعتي يوم القيامة

"Whoever gives me a salawat at dawn 10 times and when the afternoon 10 times he will get intercede on the day of qiyamat."
(HR At Thabrani and al-Mahani al-Mahani in Shahih al-Jami ').

When in Majlis

When we get together with many people to talk about something, do not forget to be covered with salawat. From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu , the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

"If there is a group of people who sit together and do not remember Allah and do not give salawat to their prophet then it will be a material remorse for him. If Allah wills, Allah will punish them, and if Allah wills, He will forgive them. "
(Narrated by Ahmad, Turmudzi, and Syuaib al-Arnauth).

When mentioning the name of Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam

When mentioning the name of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam , or hearing his name or title is called, we are encouraged to read the salawat. From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu , the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa salla m said,

"Woe to the man who when my name is mentioned, he does not salawat for me."
(HR, turmudhi, and judged by Al-Albani hasan sahih)

From Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib radhiyallahu 'anhuma , the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

"The grumpy person is the one who, when my name is mentioned, he does not salawat for me."
(Narrated Ahmad and his sanad are considered powerful by Syuaib Al-Arnauth).

When praying (dua)

Begin your prayer (dua) by praising Allah and salawat for the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam . Hopefully, your prayer can be mustajab.

Umar bin Khattab said,

"Surely the dua is hanging between the heavens and the earth, and can not rise, until recited salawat for your Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam."
(Narrated by Turmudzi and acclaimed Al-Albani).

From Ahmad bin Abi Hawari, that he heard Abu Sulaiman Ad-Darani advise,

Who wants to appeal (ask) to Allah something, he should start by salawat for the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, then ask his dua. And end with the salawat for him. Because salawat for the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam maqbul status, and Allah is most generous, so will not reject the prayers that are read between two salawat.

When entering and exiting the mosque

This dua is read simultaneously with the dua when entering a Mosque.

From Abu Usaid radhiyallahu 'anhu , the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

"When you enter the mosque then greet to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, then read: Allahummaf-tahlii abwaaba rahmatik. And when he comes out, he should read: Allahumma inni as-aluka min fadhlik. "
(Abu Dawud and al-Albani).

From Fatimah radhiyallahu 'anha , he recounted,

"The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam when entering the mosque, he read the salawat and greetings to Muhammad, then he prayed: Rabbigh fir-lii dzunuubi ..."
(Narrated by Turmudzi and al-Albani).

The second takbir when the prayer of the mayeet (corpse)

Salawat is prescribed for reading the second takbir of the mayeet's prayer. Imam As-Sya'bi said,

"The first takbir of prayer is to praise Allah. The second takbir is in peace for the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam. the third takbir is dua for the mayeet, and the fourth takbir salam. "
(Narrated by Ibn Abi Shyaibah in Al-Mushannaf).

While at the Tomb of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam

Abdullah bin Dinar said,

"I saw Abdullah ibn Umar standing near the grave of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, then he was doing salawat for the Prophet sallallaahu' alayhi wa sallam, praying Dua for Abu Bakr and Umar."
(HR Malik in Al-Muwattha 'and Baihaqi in As- Sunan Al-Kubro).

When after reading qunut, ends with reading salawat.

From Abdullah bin Harith, he said,

"That Abu Halimah, Muadz ibn Harith, recited salawat for the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam when qunut."
(Fadhl As-Shalah' ala An-Nabi, Ismail bin Ishaq).

When praying Ied

Salawat is read in every takbir id prayer .

From Alqamah, he said,

Some of companions (shahabah), including Ibn Mas'ud, Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari, and Hudzaifah were approached by Al-Wald bin Uqbah (local ruler at that time) the day before the feast day. Al-Walid asked, "Ied day is near, how to takbir in it." Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said, "You start with takbiratul ihram as the opening of prayer (salat), you praise Allah and read the salawat for the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, then pray (dua). Then do takbir again, and you do as above ... "

Hudzaifah and Abu Musa said, "Ibn Masud is right."
(Narrated by Ibn Abi Shyaibah in Al-Mushannaf).

When leaving the majlis

By the time you leave your conversation majlis, read salawat.

From Uthman bin Umar, he said,

I heard Sufyan bin Said repeatedly until I could not count, every time he left the majlis, he read: "May Allah's salawat and his angels give for Muhammad and to the prophets of Allah and his angels."
