Differences in Islam with Jewish Sharia

Islamic Sharia and Jewish Shari'a

Sharia appears to us Islam more troublesome than the shariah of Christians or Jews or other religions. Is that true? They may not wear headscarves (Hijab), shake hand between male and female and free relationship, may be allowed, halal for pigs, etc.

Explanation please.

Answer:

Bismillah was shalatu was salamu 'ala Rasulillah, wa ba'du,

In the Shari'a that applies to the Children of Israel, there are some rules that Allah sets as a form of punishment for them.

We can see some of the following verses,

First, Allah's rule on halal-haram food,

And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful.

What he means: "animal of uncloven hoof" is a single-hoofed animal, like a camel, ostrich, or an animal that their finger fuses together, like a duck or a goose. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 3/354).

Then at the end of the verse, Allah says,

....[By] that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful

Sometimes Allah forbid food that is beneficial to them, in order to punish them,

"For wrongdoing on the part of the Jews, We made unlawful for them [certain] good foods which had been lawful to them, and for their averting from the way of Allah many [people],

Some tafsir expert say that when the Torah was revealed, Allah forbade the Israelites some food, which was lawful to them before the Torah was revealed. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 2/467).

Second, in the election time of worship

Allah tests them, during a special day of worship, they should not work at all, should not seek the life of the world.

Allah says,

And ask them about the town that was by the sea - when they transgressed in [the matter of] the sabbath - when their fish came to them openly on their sabbath day, and the day they had no sabbath they did not come to them. Thus did We give them trial because they were defiantly disobedient.

Allah gave them a rule, to appoint a special day to worship Allah, without work. They chose Saturday. On that day, Allah tested them. Allah made many floating fish, while they were forbidden to take fish.

Until finally there are among those who cheat. Put a net on Friday afternoon and picked up the fish on Sunday morning. Allah cursed some of these people, and Allah made them become pigs and apes.

That is the Shari'a of the Children of Israel whom Allah revealed as a punishment for them.

In contrast to the Shari'a of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa Sallam. Allah made this shariah a mercy for all the worlds, containing great benefit to mankind.

We can see, many praises that Allah gave for the Shari'a of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Among them,

"And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds."

Allah also asserts, that in the Shari'a of Muhammad there is NO purpose to troubles furthermore punish his people. Allah says,

"And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah . He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper."

Allah also affirms that one of the duties of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam is to eliminate any rules that complicate mankind.

Allah says,

Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him - it is those who will be the successful.

Please underscore the word of Allah,

"Relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. "

Therefore, halal and haram in Shariat of Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, the principle is to realize the benefit of mankind. Not in order to punish humans.

Khamr haram, pig haram, carcass, blood, haram. All is forbidden in order to realize the better world for mankind.

Muslim women are instructed to close aurat, limited intercourse between the opposite sex. This is 100% to realize the benefit and order in society.

Therefore, we deserve to be grateful, when we become Muslims, followers of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.

Allahu a'lam.
