Human ancestors besides Adam?
Really we are not only descendants of Adam ?...
Answer:
Bismillah was shalatu was salamu 'ala Rasulillah, wa ba'du,
The Koran (Quran) mentions that when there was a great flood in the days of Noah (Nuh) 'alayhis salam,, all humans were drowned and died, except those who were on the ship Noah.
Allah says,
فأنجيناه ومن معه في الفلك المشحون. ثم أغرقنا بعد الباقين
" So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.
Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones."
God also said in another verse,
فكذبوه فنجيناه ومن معه في الفلك وجعلناهم خلائف المنذرين
"They rejected Him (Noah / Nuh), but We delivered Him, and those with Him, in the Ark, and We made them inherit (the earth), while We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our Signs. Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not)! "
Only Remaining Noah's descendants
Then, after they are saved by Allah, all humans who join the boat live life on earth. But none of them whose descendants are preserved by God, other than the descendants of Noah/Nuh. That is, they are all not descendants, other than Nuh 'alayhis salam .
Allah says,
ولقد نادانا نوح فلنعم المجيبون. ونجيناه وأهله من الكرب العظيم. وجعلنا ذريته هم الباقين
And Noah (Nuh) had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth].
In the letter as-Saffat in verse 77 above, Allah affirms,
" And We made his (Nuh) descendants those remaining [on the earth] "
This verse is the proposition that the only descendants are only descendants of Noah/Nuh - alaihis salam -.
Ali bin Abi Talha narrated from Ibn Abbas Radhiyallahu 'anhuma, he said,
لم تبق إلا ذرية نوح عليه السلام
There is nothing left but Noah's descendants - alayhis salam -
Another statement was conveyed by Qatadah - the expert of interpretation among the tabi'in -
الناس كلهم من ذرية نوح عليه السلام
All humans are descendants of Noah 'alaihis salam .
Their information is mentioned in the commentary of Ibn Kathir.
(Tasir Ibn Kathir, 7/22).
Ibn Kathir in another place also confirmed,
إن الله لم يجعل لأحد ممن كان معه من المؤمنين نسلا ولا عقبا سوى نوح عليه السلام
Allah does not give offspring and nasab for the believers (Mukmin) who follow Nuh's prophet, besides Noah 'alaihis salam .
(al-Bidayah wa an-Nihayah, 1/114).
Based on the information above, we conclude that all humans who lived after the time of Noah or Nuh were descendants of the prophet Noah /Nuh 'alaihis salam .
What about Prophet (Nabi) Syits?
There are some that mention that there is no descendant of Adam who produces offspring other than the Prophet of Syits. This is as at-Thabari information.
وشيث بن آدم, قال الطبري في تاريخه له: فمنه العربية
Syits bin Adam, at-Tabari said in his says,
It is from Syits that there are descendants. And the nasab of all men today returns to him, after his father Adam. So Syits is the father of man.
In conclusion, that the father of all Human there are 3 people:
[1] Prophet Adam - alayhis salam - the first man Allah created.
[2] The prophet Syits - alayhis salam - the only descendant of Adam who gives offspring thereafter.
[3] Prophet Nuh - alayhis salam - the only human who descended after the flash flood.
Thus, Allahu a'lam.
