Raising Hands When Praying (Dua)
Question:
I want to ask about the hadith of the Prophet whose contents (I forgot the hadith) is more or less,
"Whoever prays by raising the hand, then Allah is ashamed to return it with empty hands."
I want to ask:
1) What is the position of the hadith?
2) Can it proclaim the hadith, to raise hands every time of prayer (Dua)?

Answer:
"Surely your Lord is the most shy and most generous. Allah is ashamed of His servant who raised their hands Him, but then He did not grant his request. " (Narrated by Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i and Hakim from Salman, the Sanad is Shahih, -See Taudhihul Ahkam 6/422 and Bulughul Maram Number. 1356)
The hadith is a proposition that basically when we pray (Dua) we are encouraged to raise our hands so that the details are as follows:
1) If The Dua (Pray) is recommended based on the proposition, then raised the hand is recommended, such as when istisqo prayer '(ask for rain).
2) Dua is not recommended to raise the hand based on the argument, then raising the hand in this case is not recommended, such as prayer when prostration, tasyahud and prayer khotib in Friday sermons.
3) Du'a that there is no argument that shows to raise the hand or not raise the hand then it is basically still recommended to raise hands based on the above hadith. (See Fiqh 'Ad'iyyah wal Adzkar 2/182).
