May We Return Home to Heaven


Remember my brother and sister, we in this world are a traveler and are traveling. This must be really we realize and do not be neglected to remember this.

Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya said,

الناس منذ خلقوا لم يزالوا مسافرين, وليس لهم حط عن رحالهم إلا في الجنة أو النار

"Humans have since been created always to be a traveler, The deadline of their travel rest is heaven or hell." [1]

This is what the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam always reminds us, the life of this world is only briefly on a journey

Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

ما لى وما للدنيا ما أنا فى الدنيا إلا كراكب استظل تحت شجرة ثم راح و تركها

" What do I care about the world? I do not live in the world but like a traveler who shelters under a tree and rest, then the traveler leaves him (the tree). "[2]

Reflect and keep in mind too, when the journey home: "Can we bring a lot of supplies?" 
"Is everything in the oceans we can take everything to the village?"

Likewise our journeys to the Hereafter, none of the world's riches and glory we shall carry. What we carry are our good deeds. This charity is invisible (no object) in the world, our overseas now.

When man will be brought to the grave, all will follow him that is family, treasure, and charity. Those who return are the family and the treasure, while those who follows are his / her deeds.

Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

يتبع الميت ثلاثة, فيرجع اثنان ويبقى معه واحد, يتبعه أهله وماله وعمله, فيرجع أهله وماله, ويبقى عمله

" Those who follow the dead to the grave are three, two will return and one remains with him in the grave. What follows is family, wealth, and his deeds. The return is his family and his wealth. Those who remain with him in the grave are his deeds. "[3]

It should be contemplated also that travel and safar certainly there are distress and inconvenience. During the safar and long journey, we do not feel happy constantly or even playing games.

Ibn al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyah explained,

, والعاقل يعلم أن السفر مبني على المشقة وركوب الأخطار, ومن المحال عادة أن يطلب فيه نعيم ولذة وراحة, إنما ذلك بعد انتهاء السفر

"The intelligent will know that the safar is synonymous with trouble and exposed to many dangers. A place where people expect/demand the existence of favors, delights, and comforts only exist when the safar has been completed. "[4]

Hereafter is the last stop and is the life that is true. Allah says,

يا قوم إنما هذه الحياة الدنيا متاع وإن الآخرة هي دار القرار

" O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement. "

For those who have been neglected and deceived by the life of the world, he will live the life of this world by amusement and frolic and proud.

Allah says,

اعلموا أنما الحياة الدنيا لعب ولهو وزينة وتفاخر بينكم وتكاثر في الأموال والأولاد كمثل غيث أعجب الكفار نباته ثم يهيج فتراه مصفرا ثم يكون حطاما وفي الآخرة عذاب شديد ومغفرة من الله ورضوان وما الحياة الدنيا إلا متاع الغرور

Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion. "

May we all be able to return home, our father's village Prophet Adam 'alayhis salam and including the lucky and successful people are inserted into heaven and kept away from hell.

Allah says,

فمن زحزح عن النار وأدخل الجنة فقد فاز

" Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion. 
(Surah Ali Imran: 185).
